After a bit of burn out, I've decided to shake things up for a little while. I will still continue Burgess' Bird Book, but one day a week instead of everyday. For our daily literature read aloud, I'm adding D'Aulaires' Greek Myths. This weekend Riley listened to Jim Weiss' Greek Myths. She was mesmerized, and I even heard her gasp when King Midas' daughter came running into the room to hug him.

Today I am placing an Amazon order. It will include four school items: Yesterday's Classics
Second Reader,
Fifty Famous Stories Retold,
A Child's Garden of Verses and
Wee Sing Bible Songs. I'm really looking forward to more new material to add to our days.
