Lesson Over

Today was one of those rare days when my patience seemed limitless. I didn't lose my cool with my precious one. I didn't raise my voice in frustration. It was a good day. I found myself taking the time to make everything a teaching/learning experience. So, when asked what I was doing while cleaning out the lint trap of the dryer, I seized the opportunity to broaden her knowledge once again.

me: This is a lint trap.
dd: Ooh.
me: This soft stuff is lint and the screen keeps it from going into the dryer motor.
dd (with great excitement) : Oh, there's some of that stuff under my bed!
me: Well...
dd (with even more enthusiasm) : And look, there's some over there. It's everywhere!
