9.10.11
Four weeks have passed, three with school, since last I posted a week in review. I must get more consistent with these. We took a week off last week to enjoy Grandpa Ernie and Grandma L's visit.
Bible: Continued study of Psalm 23
Language Arts: GWG 1/2 Lessons 103-113
Reading: Christian Liberty Press Nature Reader pages 107-121
We've started the Second Reader. The stories she's currently reading are adapted from Aesop's Fables so we are also reading the original fables.
History: Our Young Folks' Josephus chapters 27-31, Ancient Egypt (What Your First Grader Needs to Know) pages 113-121
Math: BJU 2 workbook pages 39-70
Handwriting: Classically Cursive and full name
Latin: We didn't get to Song School Latin at the end of week 8, so we did lessons 5 and 6.
Art: Atelier lesson on contour drawing and overlapping objects. We also did a picture study of Georgia O'Keefe's "Poppy" and read Mike Venezia's Georgia O'Keefe from the Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists series.
